What is a Digital Book?

A digital book (also known as an 'ebook') is an electronic version of a traditional print book (ie a book sold in a bookstore). Digital books have exploded in popularity and many authors are becoming 'best-sellers' without selling a single traditional print book.

The most common method of getting a digital book is by purchasing a downloadable copy of a book and within minutes a user can instantly download the book onto a computer. The user either reads the digital book on the computer or prints the digital book and reads the printed copy.

Raising Smarter Babies is digital book and is a PDF file (the most common form of digital book). It requires the Acrobat Reader software to be installed on the computer in order to open and read the file. Most computers already come with a copy of Adobe Reader.
